Kiasar is located in 70 km southeastern of Sari surrounded by mountains in three sides and only the northwest of this city is linked to Kiasar plain with the height of 1378 meters above the sea level. The climatic conditions of this city are temperate in summer and very cold in winter.
Kiasar was converted into a city at 1372 HA. This city was the main commercial and scientific center of the region in the past. Chahardangeh part in Kiasar possesses an industrial complex in which the Mazand Cycle is active consituting a part of the economy in this region.
Three specific tourist regions in Chahardangeh are: Badab soort in Poshtkuh, Mianshe lake in Garmab county, Alandan lake in Chahardangeh county; they have been converted this region into one of the tourist area in Iran that includes another part of the economy in this city. People of this region speak in Farsi and Mazandarani most of them are Muslims and followers of Shia.
