Chapel Of Chupan was erected in 1518 for shepherds and those who did not have an access to the church of Daresham region in order to provide them with a proper place for doing religious practices. The chapel is placed seven kilometers west of Jolfa by the beach of Aras River. The building of the chapel is square-shaped from outside (5.7 in 7.7 meters) and cross-shaped from inside. It is considered to be a small church. The main entrance is placed in west of the building and the alter in the east. The construction materials are stone and mortar while the internal walls have been covered by the plaster.
