Tamin village is located 65 kilometers away from the southwest of Mirjaveh city surrounded by two mountains of Taftan and Siahkuh. Tamin has cool summers and cold winters.

Fields and heights in the surrounding areas of Tamin are unique resources of medicinal herbs like Mugworts, Teucrium polium, Peganum harmala, marve tahr and Sagebrush which are famous for their healing properties.  Especially Milkvetch plant which is used for treating so many diseases.

Among the monuments in this village, we can refer to its castle encompassing an area of nearly 3000 square meters located at 15 meters height above the valley level. The castle is placed on top of a high rock constructed using local materials such as stone and clay. Tamin castle with about 250 years of history used to be the headquarters and residents of Khans like Seyyed Khan, Moddat Khan and Nour Mohammad Khan.

Among other historical monuments in Tamin is its cemetery. The ancient cemetery of Tamin was registered in the list of Iran National Heritages and it is considered as one of the valuable historical attractions in this village. This cemetery includes simple square-shaped graves covered by stone.

One of the remarkable points in the cemetery is that over 60% of graves are not facing Qibla, as an Islamic rule, indicating that these graves are belonged to Zoroastrians.

In order to reach Tamin, take the road of Mirjaveh from Zahedan and go on nearly 75 kilometers. It is about 50 kilometers in a paved route from Mirjaveh to Tamin. After 40 kilometers on this road, you will reach Siah Jangal village and then, after three kilometers, the right-sided road will lead you to the destination.
