This building was erected during Pahlavi I period, at the same time as other constructions at municipality square in Rasht were built. Encompassing an area of nearly 1930 square meters, the building is L-shaped, including four floors. The ground and first floors are L-shaped and the second one covers the entrance and a part of the eastern building. The third storey is Pavilion placed right and just above the entrance. The total height of the building is 20 meters. The roof is made of wood covered by tin and its construction materials are cement blocks combined with cement-sand mortar. The building has an administrative function, it is considered to be a state building belonged now to the post office. Some part of the building had been damaged which was restored in 1994 by the post office of the province. Post Office at Rasht Municipality Square has been registered in the list of Iran National Heritages.
