The historical tower known as Mil-e Karat is situated atop a hill 25 kilometers southwest of Taybad, at a location where the old road from Jam and Taybad to Khaf passed by. This brick structure, with a shaft height of 25 meters, has a two-part design. The lower part (the base of the tower) is 15 meters high and octagonal, while the upper part is cylindrical. At the top of the octagonal shaft, there are beautiful decorations under the parapet, and in the middle section of the structure, there are inscriptions in Kufic script. The architectural style of the tower reflects the characteristics of Seljuk art. Additionally, the remains of a stone caravanserai near Mil-e Karat served as a stopover for caravans and travelers in the past and remained active until the Timurid period.
