The countryside Delfard village, the center of Delfard rural district, in Sardouyieh part, is placed along the road of Jiroft to Baft and Kerman, 45 kilometers northwest of Jiroft and 25 kilometers far from the Iranian ancient urban settlement “Aratta” in Kerman province.

The valley with 40 kilometers height is surrounded by Hezar Shakh mountain from the northwest and Abgarmoo from the southeast, placed on the heights of Sarbijan. The village is placed at the height of nearly 1378 meters above the sea level. Delfard river passes along the village and through the valley; the same valley which is the source of Shour River, as well. 

Delfard village is divided into two main parts: the upper Delfard which is mountainous and the lower Delfard which is desert-like and tropical. Houses in this village are mostly made of stone, iron, brick and cement blocks and they are one-storey. 

Popular edibles here are Kashk and eggplant (Kashk Bademjan), Dolmeh Barg, Sambooseh, Eggplant Halim, Wheat Halim, yogurt, spinach and pomegranate Ash. Choob Bazi (a game with a piece of wood) is the most famous traditional game in this village. 

There are several pools in Delfard which are called Glm in the local dialect. Glms are pools with medicinal properties and the potential of water therapy. There are some waterfalls in this village, named Kuh Sir, Sarand Kuh, Zourak, Darreh Tang, Kuh Nimeh and Glm-e Doktarkosh. 

Among the main features of Delfard, we can mention the abundance of waterfalls and rivers in all seasons and also natural ice houses, qanats, water springs and two kinds of tropical and cold climate at the same time. 

Garden products are very popular in Delfard among which the most important are walnut, date, grape, cherry, pomegranate, apricot, oranges, and also wheat, barley, pea, dentil, beans and a variety of summer crops. 

The domestic plants include White poplar, Acer monspessulanum, Pistacia atlantica, Hawthorns, Raspberry   and medicinal herbs like Teucrium polium, Thymes, Viper's-buglosses, Liquorice, Yarrow as well as Milkvetch.
