Khosrow Palace is a historical building dating back to the Sassanid era located within the city of Qasr-e Shirin, one of the western cities of Kermanshah province, which is located a short distance from the Iran-Iraq border. This spectacular structure was erected by Khosrow Parviz for his wife, Shirin, in the palm groves of Qasr-e Shirin. The eastern part of the palace had a rectangular hall with a roof covered with brick domes. At the end of it, there was a domed room. The palace was built in a vast garden that was irrigated by abundant water from the Alvand River. Despite many archaeological excavations, only about 40% of the historical structure of the Khosrow Palace has been unearthed so far. The palace is surrounded by agricultural lands on all sides, making access to it difficult. Currently, access to Khosrow Palace is possible through the Qasr-e Shirin beltway, and there is no access to this historical site from within the city.
