Placed on a hill in the southern Hamedan, Abbasabad Tourist Complex Resort is also known with other names like Abbasabad Pool, Abbasabad Hill, Naghareh Khaneh Hill, Akhar-e Asphalt, Bala Estakht and Baam-e Hamedan (Roof of Hamedan). Since the hill had always been a place of announcing importance happenings like the change of the rule and they were conveyed to people through the Naghareh (a kind of drum) on the hill, it is called Naghareh Khaneh Hill, too. Abbasabad Tourist Complex Resort was put into operation in 2015. The rout which takes you to the hill and the complex is extremely spectacular. It passes through pleasant and interesting alley-gardens while the gardens and green alleys increase its charm.

The most interesting among the beauties of the route is the artificial waterfall placed in the east of the complex making a fascinating landscape; It is 60 meters high. There are stairs around the waterfall giving it a special appeal. Going up the stairs, the city will be underneath your feet. The complex is one of the best places for entertainment specially for those who are much interested in overlooking the city from the height. It overlooks Hamedan from one side while green gardens of Abasabad, Mishan Plain and Alvand Mountain from the other, offering a very charming scenery to your eyes. The open cinema, sport park for skate, restaurant, mosque and parking are other facilities of the complex. Store, café shop and electric entertainment devices are placed next to the pool. In addition, there are ten two-bedroom duplex villas provided nearby for accommodation of tourists.

Tourists are used to choosing summers’ evenings for traveling to this place. Because the scenery of sunset is indeed spectacular from the roof of the city. However, the winter will invite you to walk on the ice which is a unique experience. The complex, therefore, is a four-season one with different appearances in each season. Nevertheless, please notice the mountainous climate which may put you to trouble in the winter.

Ganjnameh resort or entertainment complex is placed in a short distance from the hill you can also take a visit on your trip. You can also visit the Ganjnameh Tele Cabin and aquarium. Ganjnameh Waterfall along with its historical inscriptions are the most famous monuments here. Mishan valley and Alvand Mountain are two natural attractions close to the complex which are recommended to see, too. Two other important places which are actually a kind of must-visit are the Tomb of Baba Taher and Tomb of Avicenna you can plan to visit on your trip to Hamedan in order to get more familiar with the culture and literature of Iran.
