Maorzard Lake in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, located in western Iran, is one of the numerous natural attractions in the region. The beautiful lake is situated in the Zila area of Margoon County, northwest of Yasuj, at an elevation of 2,180 meters above sea level. Maorzard Lake is also known as "Beram (Berkeh) Deli-Boo." "Beram" means a small pond or lake, while the meaning of "Deli-Boo" is not well-defined.

The lake has a length of tqo kilometers, a width of a kilometer, and a depth ranging from seven to 14 meters. Its water is supplied by karst springs and surface runoff, with the main spring originating from the Tang-e Sib heights and the Darbaran Mountains. Maorzard Lake is home to various aquatic animals, including carp, frogs, water snakes, snake fish, turtles, and crabs. Additionally, you can find seabirds such as seagulls, ducks, and geese in the lake.

Maorzard Lake is part of a trio of interconnected lakes. By visiting this area, you can explore the surroundings of all three lakes and enjoy their beauty. The lakes are situated about three kilometers apart from each other, making it convenient to visit all three. One of the lakes, called "Hir," is located in the western part of Maorzard Lake and shares similarities with it.

If you're traveling from Tehran, you will pass through Isfahan, Shahreza, and Semiram before reaching Pataveh. Afterward, the cities of Sisakht and Yasuj will be ahead of you. Yasuj has its own airport, and you can also reach the city by bus from various cities across Iran. From Yasuj, head northwest towards Margoon County to enjoy the beautiful Maorzard Lake, along with its surrounding lakes and forests.
