Aladdin Tower or Ala al-Dawla Tower in Varamin is one of the oldest examples of funerary towers in the country. The history of this historical building dates back to the Ilkhanate period in the late 7th century AH. Ala al-Dawla Tower is located in the center of Varamin, north of Varamin Jama Mosque, and on the southeast side of the main square of Varamin. This building was registered as one of Iran's national monuments with registration number 177, on December 15, 1931. One of the unique features of the construction of this tower is its exterior decorations, which are covered with turquoise tiles and brick sunshades made by mixing turquoise, azure, and brick colors. The appearance of the tower consists of a multi-faceted cylindrical part and a cone-shaped dome. The conical dome of this tower is built on top of a circular base, which is a feature of Seljuk and Ilkhanate era domes. The dome of this tower is double-shelled, the inner dome is semi-elliptical and is located directly on the body, and the outer covering, which is brick, is located on the fins and notches of the body through triangular sections.
