Historical Complex of Bagh-e Neshat, Lar

Bagh-e Neshat is located within the old city of Lar, beside the dry river and on the northern side of the Abbasi Bridge. This garden has been the governmental seat of Lar since the Safavid era. The garden covers an area of about one hectare and is filled with Cedar and palm trees. The main building of Bagh-e Neshat is constructed in three stories. The upper floor has a height of 7 meters, and the verandas are 2.5 meters high. The lower floor contains 14 rooms, with the central room located directly beneath the veranda hall, illuminated from above by an octagonal opening. In the center of this room, there is an octagonal marble basin. The palace measures 135 by 35 meters. The bathhouse of Bagh-e Neshat is situated in the northern part of the garden and was likely built simultaneously with the main building during the Afsharid period. The interior of the bathhouse includes various sections such as the hot chamber and reservoir, with many decorative patterns and Nastaliq script adorning the walls.

In the northern part of Bagh-e Neshat, there is a bathhouse palace that was probably built at the same time. Two rooms, each with a small dome, open towards the garden, with one of them supported by intricate columns. The wall paintings are crafted with particular delicacy. The bathhouse structure consists of three parts: the changing room, the middle room, and the main hot chamber. The lime plaster decorations on the walls are partially preserved, and some of the old stones can still be seen scattered around. The skylights in the ceiling are covered with glass to prevent cold air from entering and warm air from escaping, while also directing light into the bathhouse from sunrise to sunset.
