The Tabas Geopark Heritage Museum, located in the city of Tabas on Imam Khomeini Street, Enghelab-e-Eslami Square, has gained increased significance and importance due to the recent registration of the Tabas Geopark on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The museum is situated in the basement of the Golshan Garden building and covers an area of approximately 200 square meters.

As a city located in the heart of the desert, Tabas has long been recognized as a living museum of Iranian geology and fossils. The wealth of geological and mineral resources in the region led to the establishment of a specialized museum in this field in 2016. The museum was inaugurated during the 11th conference of the Iranian Association of Archaeology and opened in the presence of geology experts and scientists.

The purpose of building this museum was to introduce and display the natural attractions, geological and mineral resources of the Tabas region. Currently, 850 samples of rocks, minerals, fossils, and minerals from the Tabas desert and other parts of the world are on display for visitors at the Geopark Museum. One of the museum's attractive sections includes a large collection of fossilized animals, with the oldest specimen being a stromatolite fossil dating back to 540 million years ago. A visit to the Tabas Geopark Heritage Museum, along with the Golshan Garden, is a delightful experience for visitors.
